You don’t want to be the one who cleans the bathroom. Do you? It is nothing less than a toxic nightmare. This doesn’t refer in any way to all the dirt. It’s about the toxic cleaners that you will be using. The most commonly used cleaners have bleach and a wide range of chemicals in them.
When you use them, you would want to wear a gas mask to ensure your protection against the toxic vapors. The fact is that it will make the cleaning process less toxic and your task easier.
But there is a natural recipe that is not going to cost you much and will help in cleaning and whitening the tiles and grout without the release of any kind of toxic substances onto your face.
All you need is these 3 ingredients:
– Baking soda – 1/2 cup
– Liquid dish soap – 1 teaspoon
– Hydrogen peroxide – 1/4 cup
How to Prepare?
Take a small squeeze top bottle, add the hydrogen peroxide, dish soap, and baking soda into it and mix.
Baking soda works by scrubbing all the stains and accumulated water between tiles. Hydrogen peroxide whitens and cleans the tiles in a natural way.
How to Apply?
Once your cleaning mix is ready, apply it on the tiles and grout that require deep cleaning. Leave the mix on 5 to 10 minutes. It will work by dissolving the water build-up and dirt on the tiles and grout. It will become easier for you to scrub and remove the dirt. If you don’t find hard stains on your tiles, you could apply this mix using a soft wet sponge and clean the tiles and entire bathroom.
Once you have scrubbed the area, just rinse it using water. when it comes to getting a deeper clean, you can repeat the cleaning process a second time on areas where you find dirt or residue of hard water.
When the stains are removed and the tiles and grout look clean, you would want to ensure that it continues to look the same. You don’t want to be scrubbing it after every few weeks. Do you?
So prepare this solution and you will be able to maintain the looks of your bathroom and tiles. Mix water and vinegar in 1 to 1 ratio and store in a spray bottle. Keep it close to the shower, so that you can spray the tiles after every shower. Just do this 2 or 3 times per week and you will have a cleaner bathroom.
Note: The bottle should be labeled to prevent any kind of confusion.
