Plants take in carbon dioxide which we breathe out and use it to produce it’s food and in return it give out fresh oxygen which we breathe. They just don’t serve as only a novelty item on our homes but help with proper air circulation and freshness.
Fresh supply of oxygen helps us to get a good night’s sleep and here are some plants you can have in your home to help fight insomnia.
1. Lavender
This plant is also used in the making of soaps and shampoos. It is also good to have in your home as it gives out a great fragrance that has both therapeutic and relaxing effects to the mind and body. You will soon be falling asleep in no time.
2. Aloe Vera Plant
Aloe vera has so many uses, it’s gel is great for fighting inflammation, burns and scars. The plant will also clean up your air as it’d leaves will change colour (brown spots) indicating the presence of harmful substances in the air in your home.
3. Jasmine
This plant is great to have in your home it can help liven your mood, fight anxiety and increase your propensity to fall asleep.
4. Snake plant
It gives your home a great amount of oxygen; it also purifies the air in your home. It generates a lot of oxygen at night when you are in sleep mode and this will help you sleep much better because of the steady supply of fresh oxygen.
5. English Ivy
This plant is highly recommended because of its air purification properties. It will absorb huge amounts of formaldehyde while giving you a large volume of oxygen in return. This plant doesn’t require much sunlight so it is great to have in your home and it will survive under modest temperature. It will surely improve your mood and your desire to sleep.
